When sending to Playback I get the message XDCAM : insufficient space available, We have 4TB of storage it is send to ISIS it is a mapped drive, the folder where the temporary files are send is empty, but it keeps failing. I have checked the Media Creation folder it has the correct path (not sure it that matters for this)
Another thing to notice is that small clips will pass with no issues bot longer clips like 16 min will fail giving the error.
Any ideas what could be causing this, I really need this to be working to meet the deadline.

Hi, just to clear some things up.
You are using send to playback with a transfer engine or doing an export directly to an ISIS workspace? Is the ISIS workspace mounted normally through Nexis/ISIS client and not through browsing to my network places, the ISIS and the workspace and mapping the drive through windows?
Are you on Mac or PC? Are you using quicktime to export? I believe you might be hitting a 2GB file size limit but those problems existed 15 years ago and were long solved in MC 8.5

Hi,
I'm using Transfer Manager, the workspace is also mounted on the machine using ISIS Client. It is a PC using OP1
Regards and thnaks
Hi again,
Aha, that means you have a workspace or a folder on that workspace shared through FTP through a 'filegateway' which can be the Avid one using the standard windows ftp share or an alternative solution like filezilla server.
Can you share how the transfer manager is configured and how it connects to your ISIS?
Attached is a screenshot of the configuration
It is connected on the same ISIS network
Thanks
Ok, That helps a bit. That 'hostname' is your FTP server. What kind of FTP server is that?
It is a network storage with FTP enable

Don't FTP servers have a 2gb file limit if I remember right?

We don't have a limit for FTP transfers
Pat Horridge:Don't FTP servers have a 2gb file limit if I remember right?
No... not for ages.
OK just a thought. It has been 20 plus years since I ran FTP servers.
Ok, can you try to send a 4-10GB file through filezilla client to it from the media composer client?
And it's a network storage? I thought it was an ISIS workspace you were sending to.

My bad you are right it is to an ISIS workspace.

Thank you for your assistance, all the best
Good news you were able to resolve the issue. So the message was actually telling the truth.
