Does Hollywood use Media Central for feature film work?

    Not really.

Most feature films are edited with a small unit. Typically 1, sometimes 2 senior editors. 1 Junior editor. 1 senior assistant editor. And 1 or 2 assistant editors. It can be as small as 1 editor and 1 assistant.

Nexis or ISIS the standard storage. Mac is the most popular OS.

It can be edited at the home of the editor or in the office of the production company.

It is really not a complicated setup.

FX heavy films are a bit different because there is a real time collaboration with the CGI department.

Media Central is largely used in a large workgroup with constant stream of media such as news or daily show.

Thanks. What if some of your work was news oriented but the production company also wanted to edit multiple features and take advantage of its feature set for editors and collaborators remotely would Media Central be able to cover the feature film side as well?
