How can I export Avid timeline to Premiere Pro 2021?

I'm looking to export a timeline to Premiere Pro, but whenever I use the AAF method, it only imports the clips and doesn't actually import a sequence. For context, I am exporting with Link to (Don't Export) Media because I have linked clips.

Any way I can work around this? Will I need to transcode things first before exporting to AAF?

    Thanks in advance!

AAF is an Avid created protocl but its not well supported by other NLEs so using it to move outside the AVid world isn't easy or ideal.

Its not a reccomended workflow at all. You should get a sequence as thats what an AAF is and normally Premiere does show a sequence but you wont have media connected to it (and will struggle to achieve that)

Plenty of forum posts here and on the web of people trying and failing and a few who manage to get it to work in part but I'd not go that route as you may well have issues latter on in post.

If you start in Premiere then its far better to finish in Premiere.

Ah okay, thanks for the heads up. I managed to eventually find the timeline, but not all of the audio is working on it for some reason.

It might be worth trying a QT ref; I have used this to get a sequence into Assimilate Scratch before.

Opne the AAF in Resolve first, export to Premiere's xml from Resolve.
