Avid is proactively reaching out to make our customers aware of a potential issue and prevent any potential business interruption for users of Google’s Chrome browser and some Avid products.
**UPDATE**24 March, 2022 Regarding v.100 Chrome for Avid customers using the following products:
- MediaCentral | CloudUX- Avid Editorial Management- MediaCentral | Sync customers
(This does NOT affect MediaCentral UX customers. Only CloudUX running Chrome.)
IMPORTANT: Unless you have Chrome auto-updates disabled you need to take action before 29th of March.
UPDATE -- MediaCentral | CloudUX patches for 2020.4 and higher are released and in the download center.
UPDATE -- Avid Editorial Management v2020.11.3 patch has been released and is in the download center.
If you subscribe to the Knowledge Base article [HERE], you'll get updated immediately when new info becomes available. Patches are cumulative, so if the CloudUX system is not already on the latest patch level, the patch will deploy the v100 fix as well as other missing bug fixes.
IMPORTANT: If you have no time to do a patch upgrade, or if there is no patch update available for your version of CloudUX, Editorial Management: An additional risk mitigation method has been documented. This will allow Domain administrator to change the version string of Google Chrome back to v99 centrally and thus might be preferrable for larger sites then the shortcut method. Please see the Avid MediaCentral Cloud UX .pdf [HERE] for details.
