Can I only keyframe audio volume? Not clip gain?
Is there an easy way to set audio volume to a specific number? Other than Cmd-Shift-Up/Down.
Yes, only Volume Automation can be keyframed. You can directly enter values in the Audio Mixer. Make sure it's in 'Auto' mode, then click the fader and enter the value on your numeric keypad. The keframe is inserted automatically too :-)
As you've discovered, you can't add keyframing to clip gain.
Look at this tutorial to see how to manipulate clip gain...

1.) In 2018.12.13, after I clicked "Auto", then toggled back to "Clip" mode, the faders on A1, A2, etc. disappeared. I had to restart Avid to get the faders back.
2.) Is there a way to lasso two keyframes and set both of them to a specific volume value using the Audio Mixer?
3.) Is there a way to jump to the previous / next keyframe?
Hi,
1. Not had the problem you describe with 'losing' the faders - but I'm on 2021.12
2. No, I don't think you can.
3. You can set the Composer Settings to allow Go to Next Event/Go to Previous Event to jump between keyframes. This works both in the timeline or the Audio Mixer

There's a few ways you can select multiple keyframes.
a) Mark an in and out point to cover the required keyframes. Hover the mouse cursor over any of the selected keyframes so that the 'finger' appears. Click to select this keyframe (all other keyframes will also select) and drag up/down to alter all keyframe volumes.
b) Holding down Alt/Option, drag mouse cursor over area required and the keyframes will be selected. The trick here is to only drag over the actual keyframes. If you drag over the entire clip, this will select the clip (and put you in segment mode) rather than selecting the keyframes. I find that increasing the zoom level and height of the track helps here.
c) Shift-clicking keyframes will select multiple keyframes.
Note that dragging multiple keyframes to change their volume will still keep the relative differences that existed before they were selected.
As far as using the Mixer is concerned, on my version of MC, even if you select the keyframes as mentioned above, the mixer fader will only adjust the keyframe you're currently parked on. In fact, if you've selected the keyframes but you are currently NOT parked on one of these, moving the fader will just create a new keyframe. This also applies if you type in a value, rather than moving the fader.
In case you're not aware, there's additional commands you can perform on keyframes within the Mixer 'hamburger' (fast) menu - located at the top of the Mixer panel.

How do I do this? Here are my Composer Settings (in 2018.12.13):
Ah. Looks like you'll need to jump forward to v2021...
