I've been looking at new keyboards as the left CTRL key seems to be going on my ancient PS2 Logic. However, I see that there are now wireless and back-lit models made by Editors Keys, although they look like chiclet keyboards and I think I prefer mechanical.
Can anyone offer any experiences with the Editors Keys models? Or should I play it safe and stick to the trusty wired Logic keyboard?
Don't know the brand name, but at a facility I freelance at I see all these backlit keyboards with missing keys, they do not seem to be very solid. I can check the maker next monday, if You wish.

I bought this one last year and I've been happy with it. It's not wireless, but it's backlit, and it's got a powered USB hub built in.

Editor Keys is contemplating mechanical Keyboards for Avid,

I sure did join twitter to upvote the idea on their twitter poll.
edit:The current Logic one is better than the Ediror Keys imho, neither are a satisfying replacement for an old mechanical Logickeyboard. If you remove the screws from the backside of your logic keyboard, you can take off the faceplate and put it in the dishwasher.Maybe serious degunking can revitalize your stuck key, but I fear it's the contact.

I'd like to be a patriot and choose the British based Editor's Keys over the American Logic, But Idk... I just prefer the logic keyboards better.
I have 2x backlit logic astras, one for Pro Tools and another for Media Composer. I'm very happy with both of them. They feel great, and look cool too.

I bought a backlit Editor's Keys first when my trustly old Avid keyboard gave up the ghost, it was flimsy, poorly made and didn't work. I then bought a standard non-backlit Logic keyboard in silver. It is a very well made quality product and I even was able to order the strongman and scissors keys separately. Furthermore every facility I have worked in, here in the UK, seems to favour them over anything else.

OK, I think that's decided it for me then! Thanks for the feedback. No point struggling with a poorly made keyboard.

Thanks. Is it as robust as the standard Logic keyboards? I do like the idea of backlit.

I don't know because I don't have a standard one to compare. It does feel solid and well built, and the backlighting is nice and evenly spread throughout.

Thanks. I've just ordered one. It does sound like Logic keyboards get the most endorsements.

If it's any consolation Logickeyboard is founded and headquartered in Denmark ;-)

Late to the party but I've been using a standard slimline one from Editors keys for years and have had no issues with it. It's been fine. Only gripe I have it that for the money, I'd want a built in USB port like the Apple slimline keyboard has. Annoying that I can't plug in a mouse or wacom directly to the keyboard and have to use another port on my hub. But it's very light and thin and this makes it very easy to pack and take with you.
