    Cannot save effect-presets

I am trying to save a preset of the EQ3 7-Band effect. But I am getting this message:

Settings can only be saved to the "EQ 3.0" folder inside the "Root Settings" folder or inside the working session's "Plug-In Settings" folder, or sub-folders of these folders.

The problem is: I am already saving to the right directory. What can I do?

    Re: Cannot save effect-presets

I just tried tried this on my Mojave system. It worked fine to save in the EQ 3.0 folder, or into a new 'Mike' sub-folder I created at that level, but saving to another location - eg Desktop - triggered the error.

Have you checked permissions on the EQ3.0 folder? Mine is set r/w for my user, read-only for everyone else.

    Ah, update!

I also tried this on my Big Sur system. I got the same error message you did. Changing permissions had no effect.

So this may be OS dependent...

Thanks for your help. I just checked it. It was set to r/w for my user.. read only for everyone else like on your system. I set it to r/w for everyone but its still the same.
