    MC 2018.12.15 released.

Thank you Avid for these important fixes but...

Wasn't 2018.12.14 supposed to be the final release of the 2018.12.x versions?

From the old Apple Quadro 950 to HP Z8xx. My current own systems: 1x Z420 E5 1650 32GB memory quadro K2200, 1x XW8600, 2x 3.0Ghz Quadcore, 24GB memory... [view my complete system specs]

    Jeroen,

Yes but they had those stragglers left so they fixed them and out came 2018.12.15.  Best thing for anyone running 2018.x is to subscribe to the 2018.x, 2019.x and 2020.x the documentation pages so if by chance we squeeze in a fix or 2, you are notified.

Great news! And exactly how I believe Avid should deal with maintaining a limited set of older versions if issues are found and fixed that span the current and previous versions.

But that leaves me wondering why this 'end of the world, armageddon Wink' tactic in used when the end of development/support is announced while in reality Avid applies a more flexible pragmatic approach. The same happened with Nexis client. 3 versions/patches of Nexis client passed each announcing they would be 'the last' to support ISIS until it was rewritten to all 2020.x versions will include ISIS support, the 2021.x versions will not.

Maybe it's good idea to differentiate between end of development, end of maintenance, end of support?

Are we seriously complaining that Avid is giving more updates and support than they had announced? 😆

In a way, It's not the extra updates that bother me, it's the incorrect information.
