'Match Frame Edit' symbol missing in timeline

    Hi,

I wonder does anyone have any ideas on why I can't see the usual white 'equals sign' on my audio files in the timeline (when I add an edit)?

The symbol is present for video files, just not audio.

Is this is user setting? Or more likely to be some sort of bug?

    Thanks for any tips.

No... but I had a wierd problem the other day where I couldn't remove the match frame edits from a timeline. It turned out to be because the project format had been flipped from 1080i to 1080p (or vice-versa, don't remember exactly now). Maybe try/check this?

Re: 'Match Frame Edit' symbol missing in timeline

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think that's it in my case.

I've figured out that it must be related to my user setting. If I create a new user setting (or switch to one of the other editors who also work on this machine) the little equals reappears.

Does this mean my user setting is corrupted (I just set up a few days ago) or does it mean that the option to see this symbol is itself a user setting and I haven't got it turned on?

    Thanks.

I don't think there's a setting for this as such. If you don't want to scrap your user settings entirely, I'd try replacing the Timeline and/or Timeline View settings in your user with those from a user that works.

I don't know of a setting to display (or not) the match frame edit symbol. If I were you, I'd make new user settings.
