It used to capture - now I can't get a preview. No input.
Man, I am sure tired of trying to get analog stuff into my Avid. I have never found a product that regularly works - they all seem to break on a very regular basis. A while ago, I bought a Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k, and it worked for a few months. Then that too broke with MC. I don't know if it's MC, or the 3rd parties that continually break MC, but I really wish I didn't have to fight constantly just to get some video into my Avid.
Has anyone else figured out a workaround to get these products to work together again? Using latest driver from Blackmagic. 10.6 or 11.6 or somethign like that I think.
I spend most of my time between New York and Los Angeles. In Nebraska.
Have you thought about capturing it with BM software. Add the media to a free version of Resolve projects media page and deliver to Resolve's Avid Export to transcode the media to a MC friendly format? Resolve happily coexists with MC on the same computer. You can set a number folder in your Avid MediaFiles folder as the destination folder for your transcodes. MC finds them as soon as it index's that folder.
I like using a new number folder for each captures export. Then I add a project identifier to the folders number name after MC has indexed it. This lets me drag each project named folder's database file into a new bin in MC as a first step in media management.

Most of the clients who have to do analogue capturing get a system setup and working and never update it!
Its then just a cpature machine. No OS upgrades. No driver updates etc.
There are so many factors to juggle that its more reliable to stick with a proven setup.

Ah the Adrenaline, it was a sad day when I had to throw mine out after nearly 10 years of faithful service.
On 2020.12 with DV 11.7, I don't have a problem here capturing component/composite via an Utlrastudio Mini 4K. What I did have to do though was retain the Addendum Rosetta rs422, for remote on the Ultrastudio to function with Avid and Resolve.
