Soo tried to open up MC and it is giving me the activiation page. It is telling me to activate with avid link, or dongle or run Media Composer First. Of course avid link shows I am acitivated but still can't open it. I know my renewal is due in a month but it still shouldn't lock me out at this point. I am on 2020.6. I did just download the latest version but I shouldn't have to install that to get MC working. 

Hi dew, for activation problems you should contact Avid Support: https://www.avid.com/learn-and-support/contact-support Select Broadcast & Video, then on the next page click Annual Contract Support and call the number listed for your area.  Help with activation issues is free, and it's option 2 from the phone menu. If you don't get anywhere with them, send an email to Raff Condalor ([email protected]).  He is Avid's customer advocate, and can help you.

What version is your Avid Link, there was a problem a few months ago with activation.

Avid link is 2020.10.
