Good morning to all,
I have just picked up an ISIS 5000 with Windows storage server standard 2007.
What is the most recent version of windows storage server that can be installed on ISIS 5000 16 HDD?
When upgrading Windows to ISIS 5000, is there a risk for the video files?
Thanks.
Windows Storage Server is considered an embedded OS and can't be upgraded. An end user can't purchase it, it only comes installed on hardware. An ISIS 5000 will have Storage Server 2008 (Vista) and an ISIS|5500 will have Storage Server 2008 R2 (Windows 7). All of the Windows security patches were approved.
The latest version of the ISIS installer is available on the Avid Download Center. You should be running the latest version of ISIS to use the latest NEXIS Client.
The ISIS Mgt UI will require Flash, you will need to keep an old browser to support this.

Thanks Bob,
On my ISIS 5000, there is "Windows Storage Server Standard 2007 Service pack 2". Is it normal ?
A+
To the best of my knowledge Microsoft never released a Storage Server 2007. Open a command prompt and type VER, that should tell you the version. If this is an ISIS 5000, it will be running Storage Server 2008.
Install all the security patches available and remove it from the Internet. If these are the original hard drives, they have been spinning a long time, they will likely start to fail.
If you have the security patches on point, then it should not be an problem. Tutuapp Vidmate
