Hey All
I recently upgraded my processor and motherboard. I did not do a full system re-install, just plugged in the HD from the old system. Went from an Intel i7 to a AMD Razen 9 3950x (asus prime x570 pro Motherboard). Avid won't load now. I get a "avid error sys_error status: 87, message:The parameter is incorrect". I uninstalled media composer and reintalled. Should I have not been so lazy and did a full clean windows install....or is this a different issue. Thoughts? Latest vers of composer ultimate.
Thanks!
Hi Mark,
A quick searched on the Forums gives me this thread.

I assume you installed all drivers for the mainboard? Then please check if the Asus audio driver have automatically installed a program called Sonic. That cause problems with Avid. If it is installed, uninstall the audio driver/Sonic and let Windows Update find a audio driver.
