Feature request: Workflow - saving a Titler+ as matte key clip

One of the glaring issues with Titler+ is the inability to interact with the alpha channel for the sake of including the title in a layer stack. I'd like the ability to output the title applied to a clip to its own standalone animation + matte key effect (without the background footage). This would provide the following benefits:

    1. Ability to apply corner pin / motion tracking via the Matte Key effect

    2. Ability to incorporate the title into an effects stack or have it interact with effects such as BCC

    3. Apply the title in multiple sequences and know that if it were replaced / regenerated that the title media could be relinked so that each clip instance would be synchronized (as opposed to copying the title+ effect which leaves multiple, unlinked instances)

This would be similar (but hopefully a one-button click) to the way Titler Pro 7 can be used to generate a title plus matte (if you've ever noticed the setting in TP7 to show alpha)...

+1000. Still no way forward on MC 2020.12, despite some impovements in UI of Titler+.

Re point 2 above: My workflow has always used Boris BCC on Avid (old) titles and I had hoped to continue in a similar fasion but using Titler+. For now I'm on OS Mojave so have access to the old title tool, so able to compare what's going on between the two title tools. I can say that Boris FX still applies OK to the old title tool alpha channel. However, I cannot get any Boris filters to stick to any title made in Titler+.

Boris FX have confirmed my fears: "...Unfortunately, I believe this problem you are seeing is because the Avid Titler+ does not Support an Alpha Channel, for any Filter (not just BCC, but any other third-party, and possibly even Avid Native filters of a similar nature)... I believe this lack of Alpha support inherent in the Titler+ is the cause of this problem"

This will present a major headache for me, and no doubt many others. For now I could continue with the old title tool whilst still using Mojave - for as long as it's supported and as long as my hardware keeps going. 64 bit only Catalina or Big Sur will preclude the use of the old 32 bit title tool.

I have tried Boris Tile Studio and, although it's very clever, it's far too complicated for ordinary quick, simple captions and lower-thirds. It also crashes frequently (fresh install of BCC, MC and Sierra - maybe just me?) And, why should we have to use a third-party title tool for simple text anyway, on what is supposed to be a leading editing software? I know we all complained about the limitations of the old title tool, but at least it was solid, quick to use, had an alpha channel of sorts, and was compatible across projects and with post houses everywhere.

I had hoped that by now Avid would have improved alpha channel compatibilty generally, but with the long-awaited Titler+, but it seems to have gone completely in the wrong direction. Most of the other UME linking bugs and quirky UI "improvements" introduced in the last two years can be worked around, but there appears no way around this alpha channel issue. This is a major disincentive to be spending any more on upgrading MC, Boris, or Apple - in order to be able to do less.
