Seeing the same thing here. Lots of misses where windows are misplaced and/or mouse clicks/drags are misinterepreted.
Hi Tom,
I'm sending this to support to investigate 04006638.

I am finding its worse on the second monitor an ACER Im using a windows 10 hp laptop with an i7 and ssd
It’s weird as for instance the main panel, which should open fullscreen, is placed 2 inches from the top of the screen. After clicking the Green + it snaps back. If I then recall my basic Edit Workspace, some of my floating panels are misaligned (timeline and source/record monitor overlap, mixer is too low and drops partially below the screen). Recalling the workspace again fixes that sometimes, but sometimes it takes two subsequent recalls of the workspace to get everything where it should be.
Same here booting fixes it then it goes wonkie again I could not get into cc mode and fx are a loss have to step back this version is unworkable
It definitely is not working correctly. Just for grins, I decided to make a new user profile, just in case it was somehow misreading the existing one. As soon as I created the new profile, the main panel floated itself down the primary monitory display. So I don't think it's a profile issue.

Also for grins, I made the panel full screen and then switched projects. The panel remains full screen. It appears to only float after you create a new profile and select the initial project.
DStone: ust tried the various modes, and at least on my system everything works. Also for grins, I made the panel full screen and then switched projects. The panel remains full screen. It appears to only float after you create a new profile and select the initial project.

So is this a stable upgrade? Reason I ask I will be setting up the new computer next week - would download 2020.8 - but not if it is buggy. Will just go back to 2020.4 or 2020.5 - but rather not gum up a new machine dowloading applications and then uninstallng them - just to wind up having to download a previous version.
Thank you
Larry
Ok per tech support I made a new user profile issue was still there but it is random I have tried it now with out a second monitor much better but still wonkie FSPB is still a mess
Ok thank you for the heads up - Might just stay on wither 2020.4 or go for 2020.6 - not sure yet. Lately I feel we all are their BETA TESTERS - I think it is far better to put out versions that have all bugs fixed then new versions with new freatures that have prolemnatic bugs. I am happy avid/mc is advancing but maybe too fast.
FYI I am a beta tester LOL and we are working out the new issues as fast as we can
Ok FSPB works right when I use only 1 monitor old user profile and new one so Im leaning away from user profiles more into multi monitor issues note to tech support both monitors are 1920x1080 video card is a radon hd 7570 m driver#15.201.1301.0

Well thank you for taking the time in testing the software - my hat is off to you. I have a few weeks before I have the new project in - so maybe I will see how 2020.8 performs. I spoke to my IT guy and he said he will mirror the new OS - so if I want to go back to the fresh install I will be able to. This is in the event I have to uninsstall 2020.8 and go back to a lower version. Also I see from your spec you are on MAC - maybe PC might handle things differently. Thank you for keep me posted
