Are you also on a Mac running Catalina 10.15.6 and Avid MC 2020.6? I've been told basically that there is no solution. They are simply not compatible yet!

They are compatible 10.15.6 is approved for MC 2020.6 Its the lack of QT on the Mac OS that forces you to use the new UME and that doesn't support the alpha channel yet.
