I'm planning to buy a new MacPro. As we all know, Avid is working furiously to make MC work on Catalina... that's not the point of this post.
My question is, will Eucon work on Catalina? If not, is Avid working to ensure that it does? And
Will I be able to use my Artist Mix and Artist Color with my new Mac (specifically through MC, not ProTools)?
Thanks!
Rodney
PS I did try searching for information on Avid's site. A new Eucon software was released on 5/9/2019 (is that September 5 or May 9? For an international company that's a pretty sloppy way to work, I reckon) but there was no information in the press release on what OS the new software requires.

This is something I'm waiting to hear about.
There's two separate issues here.
Firstly, will 2020.4 still support the Artist series? I know that the Mojo DX and Nitris DX are no longer supported in this new version. I gleaned this information from the recent Avid webinar on the new features of 2020.4, but they made no mention of things like the Artist panels. It's worth remembering that the Artist Color is EOL, so it's perfectly feasible that Avid may choose not to include support for it in the latest release.
The second issue is of course, whether the Eucon software will work. I'm pretty certain they may carry on developing it for the Protools side, but I'm not so certain there's any reason for them to test it in MC with EOL hardware. I understand that Catalina is 64 bit only, so no 32 bit apps will work. I don't know if any of the versions of the Eucon software is 64 bit.
Additionally, I did hear of problems with the latest Eucon software with the Artist Color. The latest update (v 19.x) addressed some audio issues, but it was causing problems with Artist Color. Users had to downgrade to an earlier version (v 18.x) to regain functionality.
2020.4 lands tomorrow (27th April) so we'll know the answers to some of these questions as soon as we get to read the documentation.
Thanks Bruno.
I'll be satisfied if I can Artist Mix with MC on Catalina. As far as I know, Artist Mix isn't EOL.
Cheers

Artist Mix with MC on Catalina
Since both the Avid Control App and the Artist Mix use the very same EuCon software, I would say it's 99.9% sure that it will work. In fact the new 2020 release has extra features for the Control App (meters).
Job ter Burg: Methinks: only on Catalina. Should work on Mojave and Win 10.

Not according to Marianna on the Webinar. She was one of the participants and said that the DX hardware was no longer supported. She didn't seem to mention that it was only specific to Catalina.
the link to the webinar is as follows....

The question about DX support is at about 52 minutes in.
Pretty sure I asked the Q late on the chat and Hbrock answered: no Catalina driver. I'll aski for clarification.
scoop is here......

D'oh, of course!
So yes, DX still supported on many Win configurations. Mojo DX on some Macs.
