1) I go to uninstall previous MC - do I do a de-activate?
2) Do I need the driver for the avid i/0 forgot the name - as I am using BM intensity Pro
3) Hopefully there should not be any problem opening past projects - I will delete all old settings as stated.
4) Also will I have to re-install BORIS it is older program 8.2? - did not have to re-install on precious upgrades/
Thank you
Larry
While I am on a dongle each time I unistall a version to install a newer MC asks me before uninstallation to deactivate so the answer should be yes.
The only problem are the User Settings, nothing else.
I am not sure if Boris 8.2 is compatible but going from one version to the other I have never uninstall the plugins.
Now for the BM someone else should chim in as I don't use an I/O box.

Hi Larry,
1. I didn't deactivate, and had no trouble.
2. I don't know, hopefully someone who knows will answer.
3. No problems here opening past projects.
4. I have Boris 8.0 and did not have to do any uninstalling or deactivating, the effects are still there and working fine after the 2019.6 install.
I hope that helps, and good luck with 2019.6!

Hi camoscato
Did you go to program uninstall to remove MC or did you allow AVID LINK do it. The readme or one document said go tothe program uninstall panel
Thank you for your help
L
I did not deactivate (I never do). My reading of the warning is if you are not going to install again relatively immediately they recommend you deactivate.
I remove MC using the Control Panel uninstall. Then download the update I need from my account and install the parts I use from this download.

I didn't use Avid Link. The steps I followed were:
1. Downloaded 2019.6 from Avid's Download Center.
2. Used Windows' Add/Remove Programs to uninstall 2018.12.5.
3. Installed 2019.6.
(I have nothing against Avid Link, but moderators here get access via the Download Center a day or so before the public release so we can test the download and install, and make sure there are no major last-minute problems.)
OK - just making sure - Thank you will install
thanks
