After installing 2019.6 and testing it for a while this is what came up: when opening rather small sequences (small reports and documentaries) with 'Clip Frames' activated, there's no problem at all. This software version is quite stable and reliable.
Then I opened the master sequence of my latest feature film (100' long) and that's where the problem became obvious. Without activated Clip Frames in the Timeline the sequence opens without a glitch and it is business as usual. However, activating the Clip Frames results in a Runtime Error which crashes Avid.
The Avid Readme refers to using the Nvidia vs 411.95 driver with MC2019.6. My system is running vs 425.51 (mainly 'cause Adobe Premiere Pro needs the most recent driver). Could that be the problem? Or is this simply a bug?
Thanks for your advice.

First, did you create new settings prior to upgradeing to 2019.6? User profile is recommended so things do go wonky... since it is an ntirely new interface.
Second, if the ReadMe recommends that MC and NVIDIA use a specific driver then there is a reason and you should follow the Avid recommendation. That is what I woud do first to see if you have the same issue with the driver we recommend. if it works then, we need to know so we can try to userstand why Adobe needs the latest and we recommend a differnt version.

To second M use the appropriate driver.
And the clip view is somehow buggy.
Also as M says a new user is a good step always even if it's trouble setting up the Keyboard etc.
