Dear Avid specialists ! Help! After many, many years spent together on the set and in the studio, I managed to lose my MC Dongle. Of course, I still have the current license, but in my workflow I often go between two or even three computers during the process of editing. Without dongle, working on the project in such a way (with electronically activated licence) becomes virtually impossible! Is there any way to deal with it anyhow? I know from a local reseller that Avid does not release the dongle version anymore, although, these versions are still available from my reseller. I tried to get from reseller NEW dongle, but he told me that’s not possible. He can sell me NEW product (Avid Media Composer) with NEW dongle. I do not need two Avid licenses - one with the dongle, the other one with electronic licence. What should I do in this situation? Can you help me somehow? Still I work on trial, but I have only 18 days for final decision. PLEASE HELP!

The only other solution is to move to software activation and activate/deactivate when moving between systems.  We would need the system ID or the existing license so we can find the dongle serial and retire it.  Then issue you a new license with softare activation.

Thats the only other option.  Dongles are not sold sperately.

Moon....  the dongle is the key to the license....  so while it isnt the best solution, you did loose it and if found, someone can use it for free.
