Been using this upgrade all week, and I AM IN LOVE with the group editing function. It works so well, the sequences are updated without issue, amazing. Thank you. That being said, my boss is having some issues that I wanted to throw out there.Multiple video tracks? His sequence has been duplicating his V2 track so he has two V2 tracks. Avid is duplicating his media onto a second track. He tried to delete one of them, and it deleted both. I found a few posts about this complaint in older versions and the recommended fix was deleting MCState, which we have done. It worked the first time and it does not work anymore. Might have to make a new project and move the bins over, that's my next fix attempt unless anyone else has ideas? In Multicam view, he can not see or change his ninth camera slot. It's just a black box. Unless he goes into Effect Mode, and then the camera shows up.Anyone else experiencing bugs? Anyone have fix suggestions? Thank you-
**Update to add, more bugs now... I have created a new project and moved all our bins over. He also made new User Settings. Problems won't let up.**Trying to re-use effects to speed up the edit. For example, he added a Resize effect on a clip in his sequence, set it to start at 100% and zoom into 110%. Then he dragged the finished Resize effect from the Effect Editor and into a bin, to use later. If he takes that Resize and drops it on a new clip, the effect does not animate the new clip. He has to put in all the info every time. Also, the tracks are multiplying. It was just two V2s and now we also have two V4s.Any titles on V2 or V4 have lost their alpha capabilities, so you can't see the clip underneath.
Just saw this. I’m going to try this new version and I’ll see if things improve.
I have found that the old title tool can access all fonts and families of fonts, yet the new 4K title tool+ will not see what's inside the font family folder. With MC 8.9.1 I could make titles by switching to 1080 (from UHD), make a title and then switch back to UHD. The title played fine, but wasn't editable, but the right font stayed. Now on MC2018, the same proceedure doesn't work and I get error messages.
Also, I had some New Blue titles from an old project, which I had hoped to "migrate" to the new Tiler+, but there seems to be no way to export New Blue titles into the new Avid 4K Titler+.
Another bug on 2018.12.1 is that I get the dreaded Core Consistancy error on some jpegs (not all), that previously played fine in 8.9.1
PS: I was going to start a new thread re MC2018.12.1 errors, but can't find the "new post" button! Or is there a better place to report any further findings on this specific topic?
Thanks,
Danny
If you go up one level from the posts (so Getting Started Fast, not Getting Started Fast > some post) you will see the Write a New Post link at the top of the page.

Using 2018.12.1 I have found that using source browser to link to xdcam dose not work as it should. I have installed the new nablet AMA plugin but it won't link only prompts to transcode in.
My other sytem running 2018.12 also with the new nablet pugin and is fine, it will link as always. Any thoughts ?
Kevs - test something for me... I want to see if the plugin is working correctly...1) Create a new bin to link clips into. (You'll be deleting this bin after this test.)
2) Source Browser
3) Navigate through your folder structures until you not only get to the correct folder with the clips, but actually able to see all of the individual clips. Then select all.
3) Don't click LINK yet. First, hovering over the "Plug-in" column, which is showing you which plugin Avid is "guessing" it should use, RT-click and using "Link with", manually click on the XDCam plug-in (even if it says it's using it). 4) Wait for that column to populate itself... It'll say "Processing", and then it'll either say "XDCam", or it'll say "Can't be linked".Once all are populated, then hit Link.
Report back if you're successful.

Hi
Thanks for that help.
I think I have found the issue as it's now working.
I had uninstalled the old Sony Plug in as per Nablet/avid insturctions but there was a zip file left behind that I then removed and all now seems ok. Could be coincidence but time will tell. It is now linking as I would expect.
Interestingly I can now link to mxf op atom files again which until now (apart from a version around a year ago) I had to make database files and then drag to bin to see. I thought Avid had said that wasn't suppose to happen even though it makes life much easier.
