    This is listed among the fixes of 2018.11, released today (November 20, 2018).

    My editor is having this same issue and it’s driving him mad! The system is mine so I’d really like to resolve this asap! There seem to be ongoing issues with Trim mode in the new versions. It makes me wish I could have kept 8.9.2. I’ve tried flushing the media cache to see if it helps.

     

    I’m running a 10 core Mac Pro 6,1 with 32gb ram. On OSX High Sierra.

    Fixed in 2018.11 - launched today but you shouldnt be seeing this as it was introcued in 2018.8

    8.9.2 on High Sierra might be key..... can you upgrade?

    Hi Marianna / All

     

    I was having this issue on 2018.10 - Avid would crash immediately Trim Mode was engaged while Caps Lock was on.

    This morning I downloaded and installed 2018.11 and after a couple of hours work I can confirm that this is no longer the case - the update seems to have fixed this very annoying bug.
