Nitris DX interface hasn't worked since 2018.7; MacOS 10.13.6. Works on MC 2018.5, but nothing later; very repeatable.
I have a support case open (have since 2018.7 release), but curious if others have run into this? I know the DX interfaces are getting a bit long in the tooth, but they are still technically a supported configuration.
Based on some of the conversations about AJA devices having issues around the same time, I'm guessing something significant in the I/O architecture changed in the 2018.7 release?
DPx export is brooken! The exported file has dropped framed and duplicated frames. If you export a minute you get a minute back but it has drooped frmaes and then others duplicted to make up th diffrnace.
This is also still brooken on 2018.10 that I'm testing. Please fix this
Hi Marianna,
is there any chance to get that beta-version, too? 2018.9 is so incredibly not working on a fresh 2017-MBP (MacOS 10.13.6., latest AJA-Software) but I had to see it with my own eyes. ;) Rolled back to 2018.5, works fine now. But I was looking forward to using some of the new 2018.9 features.
Thx :)
Same issues with AJA here.
I've mailed you to see if I can get hold of the Beta too.
Thanks,
Nik
Hey you can email me direct and I can send it but not until tomorrow. Holiday here in the States.

We are using the Nirtis DX with the latest MC versions on El Capitan.
Are you including the DX driver when you install MC? A while back that became an optional installation and must be manually included.

Yes, manually checking the DX driver install; have to do this for 2018.5 as well, which is working fine. Have tried it on both a Westmere Mac Pro (no longer officially supported) with PCIe card and an Ivy Bridge Mac Pro with Sonnet adapter; same result on both: works on 2018.5, but not on 2018.7 or later. However both installs have been on High Sierra; interesting that it works on El Capitan though.

We are using Nitris DX on a Mac Pro (mid2012) PCIe with 10.12.6 and 2018.9. It worked with .7 and .8 also.

Good to hear; thanks. At this point it's sounding like either it's me somehow or High Sierra as the issue then. Since I can get it to work reliably on two different machines under 2018.5, however, I'm leaning towards macOS 10.13 being the issue...
Make sure you allow the drivers to be activated in System Pref - > Security and Privacy. If you don’t, after a certain period is will disable the drivers.

I have, but thanks for the reminder; I even verified in Terminal that the kext is currently loaded. For grins, can someone with a functioning DX run this command in terminal and let me know what version of DX driver you get?
kextstat | grep -v com.apple
I'm showing: com.Avid.driver.AvidDX (5.9.3).
Sorry to thread-jack, but appreciate the help.
Quick update: support was able to recreate the same issue, so I'm glad I'm not going totally crazy!
Does anybody tried MC beta with AJA?
How this pair works?
