Arnoud: I tried this new version, and all seemed well and snappy, until a spinning ball appeared while scrubbing audio in the player. I had to force quit and restart. The same thing happened again and again, with different clips. I experimented with uninstalling Desktop Video, to see if that made Media Composer 2018.9 more stable. But negative. So reluctantly I reinstalled 2018.8. It seems like each time Avid solves a problem in an update it also introduces a new bug.

Armoud...
Scrubbing.... Caps lock on or off?
Well, same here.
The only combination that is working for me is MC 2018.9 and AJA 12.5.1, if that helps. Although the bug with advancing one frame(or so) when you press stop persists.
macbook pro i9 MacOS 10.13.6
2018.9 and 12.5.1 dooes not work for me. Massive processor load and playback stopped. Maybe your new Macbook is more powerfull.
Hey, Marianna, any news about that case?
Gorky
Have not heard back from Steve at AJA. Pinging him right now.

Gorky - perfect timing... he responded right back.
" I should have an update for you Wednesday afternoon following our meeting with the Avid hardware/software team. If I have anything sooner, I’ll let you know."
I'll be on this Wednesday night.
Thank you Marianna!
Hoping this is handled swiftly. As of right now, neither BMD or AJA i/o are working up to expectations in these current Media Composer releases. Is this at all related to the new live timeline?
Working on it SSherrick..... on both sides of the aisle
Thank you Marianna! I know you're always on top of things, I just know there are a lot of moving parts with these things.
