as is solved in another thread, and Joachim confirmed there is still a problem with the length of the clip in some framerates and linking with the Avid generik plugin. The clip is dropped last frame. This may later cause re-linking issues. So one of the relatively safe ways is to use Resolve as suggested by Joachim or Quicktime plugin - if the codec links.

When I had 8.9.1 installed, I was overweight, ugly, and I couldn't transcode any footage from my GH5.  Now, with 8.9.2, I can transcode and edit both 4:2:0 AND 4:2:2 4K from my GH5!  Thanks Avid!!  Everything now works just as I hoped it would. This is a great, great point update! Although I'm still overweight and ugly.

I am just missing something I am sure.

With GH5-based UHD-/FHD-media in 50p/60p there is still the timecode issue (Avid Generic Plug-In shows wrong timecode values, and QuickTime Plug-In shows green screens randomly). That is the reason why I wrote the previous contribution.
