Watch Multicam with Full Quality (not Draft Quality)

I'm watching 2 cameras in Quad Split, DNxHD 36 on a Nexis storage with DNxIO hardware - and it's only possible in "Draft Quality". Why?
The performance should be more than enough to watch it in "Full Quality" - would be great to be able to change the "Video Quality Menu" to "Full Quality" when working in Multicam mode or watching footage in Quad Split.

I think it is hard coded into the multi cam routine to drop to a draft quality.  Not 100% sure, but I believe I heard that from someone at Avid once.

4 years later - still draft quality in quad split ...

As a workaround for watching dailies in quad splid I switch the Format to UHD - then the picture looks much better with the HD footage.

2023 - AI is taking over the creative jobs and we can watch two cameras in quad split only in draft quality Surprise

I guess you like the creative jobs AI creates. Soon it will edit the video's for you leaving nobody to complain about the draft quality towards Avid.

Re: Watch Multicam with Full Quality (not Draft Quality)

It seems things like this, that should be trivial, are actually almost impossible for Avid to accomplish. Just from lurking around it seems Avid can't improve MC beyond a certain point without rewriting it all. And I don't think they have the money to do that. This all feels like a slow death spiral where they can't afford to fix things, but fixing things is the only way for them to regain users. Which is why we never get decent updates, always things like "we changed where this menu is". Competitors are forging ahead using AI to assist in all sorts of cool things (depth maps in Resolve for example), integrating useful new products in to their ecosystem (Frame IO and Adobe etc) and Avid still can't fix requests from a decade ago. This is the reason I've stopped my subscriptions - development pace is glacial and I don't think that can be fixed even with the higher prices they want us to pay. It's really a shambles.
