I have just purchased an online license for Avid Media Composer (Symphony) and by following tutorials I want to get a grip on Avid (again after leaving the software 5 years ago). I'm reading all about AMA linking to media, but my worksspace (v. 8.6.3) is looking very different from the workspace in the tutorials. Also in my settings there's no options with regard to linking media files. I'm at a loss here. How do I (AMA) link to media on my hard drives with my version of Media Composer?
These are links to screen grabs of my workspace:

I've actually found the answer after extensive googling. It's all been changed in 8.6.3! AMA Linking is now called Source Browsing and the Superbin has been replaced by bin tabbing! And this you only find out when you read the What's New section of the new version of the software. For someone unknowingly installing, of course, the latest version of the MC software and then doing tutorials in order to get cracking with the package this causes a lot of distress. Anyway, 'mystery' solved.
