Hi

am getting this error message when starting Avid                     InitBinIndexDone: GetResult() failed

have seen much older posts but cannot seem to find latest way of dealing with it.

Have Windows 7, running 8.4.2 (updating to 8.5) but having to stay with this version as cannot do custom exports at moment with any later versions

Wow!

I know its now well over a year since you asked this question, but I havent been on the forums for quite sometime now.  If you ever come across this error again, all you have to do is close avid, and goto the project folder and delete these two files. 

<name of project> Settings.xml

"SearchData" Folder

Next time you open Avid the error should be gone, and go away indefinitely.
