Every time I boot up Avid Media Composer I get the same message: "you must restart the application after changing the resolution". Then I close the program down and start it up again, and it works perfectly. Any ideas why? If it helps, these are my system specs:
OS NAME: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
Version: 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
OS Manufacturer: Microsoft Coorporation
System Manufactuer: Dell Inc.
System Model: Precision M4800

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4900MQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, 2801 Mhz, 4 Cores, 8 Logical Processors
What is your screen resolution set to in Windows?

Do you have any other screens connected to the display card? HDMI maybe?
I've seen second/3rd screens be recognised by the OS after boot and that causes the display to refresh. That refresh will upset MC into thinking you have chnaged resolution so must restart MC.
