Hi,
I recently upgraded my MC to the latest version. I have MAC OS X 10.9.5. since the upgrade Avid suddenly stuck!! It never happend before, at least not in this frequency (every 30 minutes). The only way to handle this is to force quit the application.
Does anyone have a solution or idea how to fix it?
Is there a conection to the computer's hardware? I'm using 4 years old Imac. 3.1 GHz core i5
Thanks!
"Stuck?" Do you mean it freezes, crashes to the desktop, spinning beach ball, what?
How about some more information...what kind of project are you working in? Media linked via AMA or Avid media? What kind of footage? How are your drives connected?
Have you tried other projects / Avid users?

Thank you for your answer :)
It freezes and spinning like a beach ball.
I work with offline mxf. The footage shot with ALEXA and my driver connected with thunderbolt.
The same thing happens with another project i'm working on, also offline mxf shot with Sony F5.
I uninstalled the software and went back to MC8.3. Now it freezes intermittently.
I have the same problem with MC 8.4 very annoying the MC auto save is on every 5 min

Who can help me I now starting grading and it hangs if I do 2 things like change colors in the curves thanks in advance
the rapport says
Is there a difference if you turn off your I/O hardware?
Can you try it with out "thunderbold-LaCie eSATA Hub ..." in the system?FWIW a 3 month old Mac Book 15" here with 8.3 on OS 10.10.1 had very similar problems with a LaCie 6TB Thunderbolt 2 drive attached. Thankfully connecting the same drive via USB 3 solved the issue completely.
