How to get one big single composer window screen

    MC 7

For effect editing I need a workspace with just one composer window.

But when I pull the single composer window bigger, the second composer window screen always appears. I just need one screen, not two (to be able to pull the one as big as possible)..

I remember this was possible in prior versions, is it impossible to have one big single composer window now?

Re: How to get one big single composer window screen

mmm... if I alt click in one of the monitors nothing happens. (Is also ment to drag subclips to a bin) If I alt click on the source/record editing workspace in the windows tab nothing happens. If I alt press F9, (my keyboard shortcut for source/record editing workspace), nothing happens. What is the trick? (Beside constructing your own workspace with only record monitor in the size you like)

With the source and record monitor on, drag the bottom left corner or the left edge of the composer window and shrink it down till the source monitor disappears, resize to Your likings dragging the bottom right corner, if You attempt resizing in any other way the source monitor will show up again.

    Christian Jhonson:

    Alt+Source/record Mode will do that.

After searching a lot I finally found this - and it really works (MC 8.8.5)!

You have to press the ALT key and then click on the SOURCE/RECORD MODE button, which is for instance in the timeline (left edge).
