I installed the demo, restart the pc, then once i run, i select trial mode, then i get "desktop compositing must be disabled ..", i click continue, the app is starting but nothing appears, well except a notification fro windows that the color combitnation has changed to basic.
The screen is not responding on label "Autoconfiguring Transport Machines"
I saw this when test installing on my Surface Pro and had to close down - disable all blutooth first time I opened up Avid.
On what are you installing.
Tomas
Tony Hernandez: i get "desktop compositing must be disabled .."
Desktop compositing isn't a big deal; it's just a Windows setting that MC will disable while it runs. It comes back on when you exit MC.
As Tomas says, it would help to know more about the system you're working on. Which OS? What processor? What video card? How much RAM? Where is your media stored? What format/frame rate is your project, and what format/frame rate is your footage?
If you edit your user profile, you can add this information so you don't have to type it all the time. (Look at the bottom of this post for an example.)

Carl
