MC 7.0.3 - batch import deletes audio waveform

I have some clips where I only see the waveform of one channel, although there is sound on both channels. I tried to delete the "WaveformCache" folder but with no difference. Maybe a bug?

Re: MC 7.0.3 - waveform only one channel

I have the feeling that some clips loose their waveform if I do a "batch import".

If I import them directly, I see both channels, so probably a bug. Has this been reported, yet?

Re: MC 7.0.3 - waveform only one channel

    Yes, it's defintely "Batch Import".
I had to batch import a lot of stereo clips and I just realised, that they all lost the waveform of on channel. Now I have to do a new import and relink all sequences...

    BTW, it's a 1080p/24 project, MC7.0.3, OSX 10.8.5

Re: MC 7.0.3 - batch import deletes audio waveform

I think it is a bug. I have missing waveforms on mono tracks, but sometimes they come back when I change the timeline zoom level (expand it to zoom in).

    I'm running MC 7.0.3 on OSX 10.9.2.

Unfortunately the zoomin level makes no differences for me. It seems that the waveform is just gone after the batch import, although I hear the audio.

What if you modify the track to be two mono tracks?  If the bad track shows up, then modify back?

    Just throwing these out.

These were already two mono tracks (i don't use stereo tracks) and i tried to modify them to stereo tracks but the waveform didn't show up.

opps! Sorry.  Well, what happens if you DO import them as stereo?

What happens if you turn off the track waveform display, turn on Show Marked Regions, then set an in and out around just a small section? Do you get waveforms for that section?

Re: MC 7.0.3 - batch import deletes audio waveform

I tried all different things but the waveform didn't show up.
Anyways, I I did a new import and relinked the sequences, so everything is fine, now.
I'm glad it happened in the beginning of a project.

I did some testing the last days with the latest MC 5.5.5 / MC 6.5.4 / MC 7.0.3 & Matrox MXO2 mini / Aja T-Tap / Software Only to find the best editing setup. Maybe I did a batch import in 6.5 and then the waveform didn't show up in MC 7.0. I wanted all audio clips to be 24bit, that's why I did the batch import, so it could be also that the convert from 16bit>24bit killed the waveform.
