MVI_ and Go Pro footage in MCv6.0.3.2

I've cut a couple of sequences that I've outputed to Quick time that include MVI_ and Go Pro footage as well as standard XF305 mxf files.

When I try to consolidate, transcode, or export an OMF files I get Assertion failed:False:/snapshots/relensnow6_ ....

I've checked and if I take out the MVI and Go Pro footage all is hunky dory - please can some one tell me what I am doing wrong I've been struggling with this for two days.

Second question - my idvd in my 27 inch imac has packed up - can any one suggest the best easiest DVD that I can use to make simple DVD's for people to check the cuts etc.

    Thank you in anticipation

You can't consolidate MVI or gopro footage as they are H264 so not native. But you should be able to transcode them.

Is it all of them or some (or even one) of them?

Divide the clips up until you get a working transcode then add back in until you get a failure.

    It's often a corrupt clip.

Thank you so much Pat, Please could I ask would you suggest normally transcoding H264 footage before you start editing and will that mix OK with material that is 'Link to volumes' - AMA material from the Canon XF305?

    Thank you

My normal work flow is to AMA link. Make selects (subclips) then Transcode to a DNX resolution. What datarate depends on what the final output needs to be.
