So my company have Avid Media Composer on all our systems and recently bought a Media Composer 7 dongle to activate a new computer. However there is no Sorenson Squeeze installed on any of the systems and wanted to get some further information about how to obtain it.

1. Can Sorenson Squeeze be obtained for all the systems or just for the newest license for Avid MC 7?

2. How would I go about getting the license for Squeeze? We have the activation card and number plus the box with the dongle for the serial? I was told by a live agent from Sorenson that we have to go through Avid to get that license but wasn't sure who.

Where did you buy rhe MC 7 system with dongle?  Did you have an existing license prior and you upgraded to MC 7 or is this a new License purchase?

Did you buy on the store or from a reseller?

One license comes with 1 serial # for Avid FX, Avid DVD and Sorenson Squeeze for that seat.  If you have 3 other systems that need Squeeze you would have to either have the Avid which comes with the 3 applications listed above or buy the squeeze from Sorenson directly.

The dongle was bought through Carbon Computing here in Toronto.

It was a brand new license. We are currently using Avid MC 5.5.3.4 and we were informed the license would be backwards compatible with the system we were registering. It was only bought about a month or two ago.

Sorry just on the last point does that mean if the other versions of Avid didn't come with Sorenson Squeeze when it was installed its not available for those without a seperate purchase?
