    Enable/Disable Effect

    Hi,

I'm new to MC.  (just installed MC7)

I am struggling with effects.  I can't figure out how to temporarily disable an effect so I can review before/after.    In FCP or Adobe, they provided you with a very handy "eyeball" button which simply turned any effect "ON" or "OFF".

I also can't figure out how to remove just one of the effects in the effect editor.  It seems I can't just select it in the editor and hit delete.  If I use the remove effects button in the timeline window, it removes ALL effects associated with that clip, which is frustrating.

Can someone help me out?  Thanks!

Generally in the effect editor window there will be a check box for bypassing the effect

And if you double click the effect clip it'll expand the nested view. You can then select the effect you want and hit the 'remove effect' button and it'll just remove that one.

e2a - In effect mode you select the effect to remove by clicking on the relevant iteration of the clip. When not in effect mode you select it by choosing the appropriate track/s to target V1.1, V1.2 etc.

    don't see checkbox , shame.

You can also use dual split view when in FX editor mode ...
