Saving Custom transitions with different times?

I have been customizing and saving transitions in Avid MC 6 at one second a piece. Is it possible to save the same customizied transtion at one second, 2 seconds, and 3 seconds? I use the same effect a lot, but sometimes I need a 1 second or a two second version of it.

How can I save the same transtion with different times and save them as favorites?

    Thanks

Create a bin named "Quick Transitions". Create any type of transitional effect you want and drag it to that bin. From that point on, when you launch the quick transitions window, those effects will be listed in the quick transitions pulldown menu.

    Hi,

That's what I have been doing, but I would like to save a cross dissolve as 1 second favorite, and a 2 second favorite.

I want to do this so when I want to use a 2 second cross dissolve, I dont have to put a 1 second dissolve then go into the Quick transition dialog box and change it to 2 seconds.

I just want to put it bewtween clips and not have to touch it.

    Thanks

You certainly can.  Rename the 1 second version of "CustomTransition" to "CustomTransition_1sec".  Then open it again, change it to 2 second duration, drag then new version into Quick Transitions and rename it to "CustomTransition_2sec".  Done.
