Now that's funny.
Now I feel really low.

Don't worry about it, Ben. Of all the art forms in existence, comedy, whether direct or implied, is the trickiest one of all. You never know what's really funny until it plays to a live audience. Ask any SNL veteran about that, and they'll most likely give you the same reply.

PS: I thought it was funny. So at least there are two people in this world who enjoyed it.

Thanks man. And guys it was never intended to be 'Laugh Out Loud' comedy...more light banter than anything. I keep forgetting most of you work in comedy.
I think the NOs have it.
The backdrop to the story... our editing systems are set up by the IT department and someone in their infinate wisdom decided that when they rebuilt the systems (as we do each year) that instead of using Win 7/64-bit Pro, which the machines were orginally built with, they subisituted Windows Enterprise. I never noticed it and have been running the machines like this for the past... year I guess. Media Composer does not run perfectly. It does work but we've had several issues during this time and most couldn't be solved. It is now my opinion that it's possible that these problems may have been caused by using the wrong operating system. My IT department will be informed of this and next week when we rebuild the machines the correct operating system will be used. Thanks for all the replies (and the humor that insued)
