Hi Larry, when I try that it says the duration of the clip is zero and won't let me export as there us no duration.

If you followed my instructions from the earlier post, I would suspect that your export profile has "use marks" and "used enabled tracks" parameters are active in the profile, but you have no marks or tracks enabled on your video mixdown export timeline. If so, activate all tracks and mark the entire sequence end to end and try again.

Hi Larry, I've checked that and the export profile has nothing marked on it.
Hi again
Can someone please advise how I delete a project (or 4 of them as I did a few tests too)? Is it through media tools? I just want to delete the edited clips and not the original files.
Thanks
Gareth
Yes, deleting a project's media and then the project itself is done using the media tool.
Hi all
I deleted all of the clips and have decided to start again. I've been side tracked with other projects so only recently got back to this. Anyway, I did that and linked to AMA plug ins again, with the HD 720p/29.97 format, then I transcoded to DNxHD 110 and now I cannot either watch the clip or drag to timeline. When trying to watch the clip this comes up:
This now seems to work - though it happend arbitarily as I did nothing different, however I have exactly the same problem as I had when I started this project. After trascoding a test sequence (which i have transcoded) i have then expprted (with settings suggested) using quicktime reference, saving to my desktop, but it is a video-less and audio-less file when I open it (though the time of clip is correct). I also applied video mixdown and again nothing.

That usually indicates a trip to the station to examine what we call "The Usual Suspects":
1. Project settings - can sometimes become corrupted. It the problem is contained to one specific project and is not visible in others, quit the application and from the specific project folder in the master "Avid Projects" folder, delete the "(project name)settings.avs" file. On re-launch, the system will detect the missing file and a new one.2. Site settings - can sometimes become corrupted. If the problem appears in any project, quit the application and from the settings folder with Avid Media Composer in the path, delete the following: MC State, Site_Settings, Site_Attributes. On re-launch, the system will detect the missing files and build new ones. If you previously dragged any user settings into the site settings window, those will need to be restored after the rebuild.3. User profile - can sometimes malfunction and cause bizarre issues. Create a new user profile and see if the problem persists.
Many thanks Larry will try these methods and let you know.
So I tried following thee steps but it stil doesn't work.
1. Tried this but no change.
2. Site settings just open an empty box - am I missing something. (screen grab attached)
3. How do I find user profile?
