Do you think this may work with MC 6.5.0 as well has MC 6.5.2 or do I have to upgrade before testing it?
As 6.5,0 was the very first version I would recommend that you update, lots of bugfixes with 6,5,2 and also a better response with the Matrox unit.
6.5.0 will work though.
Tried this with MC 6.032... Not sure if it's supported but it's a great improvement over the last driver. I will test drive more today...
Please do David, should be about the same fixes on 6.03.2 as on 6.5.2
Wow - thanks for the heads-up!
I've been waiting and looking for decent new Mac drivers, but wan't privy to the Matrox comments about trying it with MC6.5

I´ve been testing these for a while on the Mac side and I think it is safe to go, audio scrubbing now, as a contrast to the past, actually works even better on the Mac side than on the PC side, at least here
Tested all day yesterday on MC 6.0.3.2 and glad to say I can nactually edit with Matrox box attached! Scrubbing is much improved and audio meter is in sync. Occasionally the system will hang for a few seconds but then seems to recover. Also still get some error messages with in the monitors in color correction mode but again system recovers by clicking to another clip. It's still not perfect but much improved.
Just tried and for me it's still awfull. In PAL projects playback is normal on HDMI output, but on desktop there are dropped fames every sec. As I understand there is a incompatibility between 25 fps and 60 Hz of Macbook display. The same on Mac pro with old Cinema HD.But without Matrox desktop playback is ideal! And awfull scrubbing of clips at large time scale, so I can't search for necessary frame or plan. About trimming - not for work.
Just buyed Aja Io express because can't wait for ideal drivers...

Never heard of

and that would fix that Mac incombatibility ?
Sorry, what incompatibility?
If do you mean "25fps - 60Hz", Blackmagic Intesity Pro, for example, is free of that bug.

So, if you say that both BM and AJA have fixed a bug that you claim is Apple related I would just use one of those cards.
If you want to have your Matrox box functional with an Apple bug that I´ve never heard of, flashing firmware after a driver update is something that have helped other users, you have to do it manually on the mac side and it´s all in the manual, situated at the same place as the drivers.
If that doesn´t help a Matrox support call is your next step, they will ask you for system specs and OS so be prepared to have those specs available.
I did not tell that it is Apple bug. It is Matrox bug, because without Matrox everything it's alright.
And in MC 5.5 with Matrox everything it's alright.
Matrox driver 3,30..0067 officially released now and certified to be used together with Avid 6,03 and 6,5,2

Just tried. The same as previous beta in that thread. It's a pity.
