Re: MC 6.0.1 blend mode? How to?

    Thank you, teo3vs.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Why isn't there a simple blend mode for layering?????
I am scanning the web for a simple drag and drop plugin, which does this, and I just can't find it. BCC or Sapphire has it, but it's not sold seperately. Do I really have to pay 1-2 grand for a simple function which ALL OTHER EDITORS have in the box??? LITERALLY ALL OTHER VIDEO EDITORS!!!!

I simply can't explain why AVID isn't offering this. It is a if they just took out the dissolve transition tomorrow!
Avid, why is this simple function missing??? I would just like to know!

This has been a feature request FOREVER and shows no sign of appearing. If vital to your workflow then switch to another NLE or buy BCC or Sapphire.

IF it were ever to be added then it would not be added to v6, but v6 did come with AvidFX bundled (aka Boris Red) that does have this functionality. There are many threads discussing this

cheapest way is to buy boris red or to buy the BCC key and blend pack.

I know this thread is really old but I stumbled upon it dealing with this issue still but discovered a wonderful Avid effect that finally includes blending options. I'm sure most on here already know about it but the "Avid FX Filter" effect finally has a drop down menu which allows you to select which blending mode you'd like to use. Just like AE or Premiere.

    hope this helps anyone.

Yes I would like to see blend modes be more intuitive. Currently I am working with match move which has a blend mode but I can not get the effect to apply as in the video here at 7:00.
