I uploaded MC 6 with a software upgrade but my problem is I have no Squeeze serial number and the Avid FX is only a trial version. Where did I go wrong? How can I get the activation codes and serial number for the right versions. Any help appreciated

I followed the link. Complex page in true Avid style but careful reading suggests serials for Web upgrade orders are to be obtained via the 'MY ACCOUNT' portal, particularly the page with your history of product purchases / upgrades. I've got two dongle based systems regularly updated. Lots of serials on the page. It may be that the Avid Fx 6 serial number should be on that page, but I made a 5.0 to 5.5 purchase in the version protection window and the 'Your Products' page correctly shows the 5.0 to 5.5 upgrade, but not it's bump up to 6.0. So I've got an activated dongle for 6.0, have it up and running but can't move over to using it till I can get Avid Fx 6 going. Alongside that, I wonder whether come the next time I need to upgrade, my 6.0 system will be seen as a 5.5 system, a version behind, attracting a higher upgrade price. Biggest interest though is getting a Avid Fx 6 serial.

Any suggestions?

Have had the same problem as you.

Found the solution in one of the threads in the PC forum given by user R2U2D2Y.

To obtain the correct serial numbers for squeeze 7 and AvidFX do the following:

Email to: [email protected]

In the subject:  Production Suite License Request

In the body of the email:             your name

                                                               Email

                                                               Phone Number

                                                               System ID

This is for those who upgraded from MC 5.x to 5.5 and are eligible for the free upgrade to MC 6 including the  third partie software

In my case I received  very quick by  email the requested  activation keys.
