So, it is not possible to edit Canon EOS 550D raw footage without transcoding?

I followed this instructions: Linking to Media using AMA I do not see additional transcoding, just copy from AMA location.

I get the message: The clip 1920x1080, 25 fps was skipped during the Consolidate operation because it is of a foreign compression type.
