• Re: Fusion's Avid Connect Plugin and Fusion 16?
Surely BMD did this with in the comparison between Fusion 16 in Resolve Studio and Fusion 16 Studio features that you linked to in your first post. Avid Connect Plug-in for using Fusion from the Media Composer timeline Fusion in DaVinci Resolve Studio 16 NO Fusion Studio 16 $299 YES Plus there is the BMD produced
One other possibility; I have a Resolve Studio dongle, not a Fusion Studio dongle. Perhaps Fusion Connect is only looking for the Fusion dongle.
I think the Fusion dongle was required to be able to run the actual Studio software, rather than to enable the AVX plugin. I say this only because it would also (sort

  • Fusion's Avid Connect Plugin and Fusion 16?

For those of you who aren't aware of the chequered past of this plugin, I suggest you read.... http://community.avid.com/forums/t/184921.aspx?PageIndex=1 Given that this plugin 'broke' sometime around 2018.7, (and both Avid and Blackmagic were being tight-lipped about offering a solution) I'd pretty much given up on it. Blackmagic announced

  • Re: ScriptSync - moving Takes on a Slate

I've not found a way as of now, but I discovered if you show the 'Take' column in the bin view for your clips, and then fill-in take numbers for your master clips, they'll show up in the script. You'll see them in the little box below each take. Just make sure you keep the numbers to only two digits max. Doesn't help with re

I wonder if the timing of this is anything to do with Blackmagic unveiling Resolve 16 on Monday, where they're claiming the new version will be 'a revolution in editing'? Interesting days ahead!
I just noticed a lot of the footage is on an out-board USB 3.0 portable hard drive. 4tb and about half full. I'm guessing this might be slowing up the works.
Yep, that's certainly not going to give you the fastest speeds. I think USB3 drives are OK for lower bandwidth files like DNx36, but I personally

A little more info? Eg... Version of Avid? What files were you looking for? What did you find in the attic? Date stamp on the latest files in the attic?

  • Re: video playback

Since this problem seems to vary in severity from one restart to another, I would also check what software and processes are running on your computer, which could be using up the system resources. Common culprits include anti-virus programs and disk backup software. I would also stop background services like Avid's Application Manager and background

  • Re: Play quad split sequence in player window

    1) Create a new sequence. 2) Edit the whole multigroup clip into your timeline. 3) In the 'Composer' drop-down menu, select 'Multicamera Mode' 4) Play your sequence - the quad split sources will all play-along with the sequence.
