I can't tell if I'm missing something, or if this is a design flaw: Stereo tracks on my timeline are displayed as a single meter in the audio tool. Example: My timeline has 1 stereo track (Stereo full mix) and the audio tool displays a single meter for stereo track 1. I want it to display 2 meters (Left and Right). Is there a way to do this

I don't know if this is a bug, or me, but it comes up from time to time. I'll take an existing title in my seq, enter effects mode, choose "Edit Title" and I can't makes spaces. I hit the space bar and nothing happens. Closing Symphony completely and relaunching fixes it every time. Any ideas? Bug alert? Sincerely, Dan Symphony

I'm also glad this is getting attention. While I was making the transition from v4 to v5, I just dealt with it. But at this point everything I'm working on has been created 100% in v5 so there should be no reason for this to keep happening.

I've been having this problem too. It's quite random, and sometimes it want's to re-create sequences that it already recreated. One of the only things I can see that might be common amongst all the seq in question is that there are audiosuite plugins on some audio channels, specifically "Compressor/Limiter Dyn 3". I do have photoshop on this machine but I'm gonna have to break out the manual and re-learn how to create mattes and alphas.

I just gave it a try: V3-Credits over black with a matte key effect V2-Black slug V1-Program This helps because now I can make the credits black (or any color for that matter) in the event of a very light background (one ep is set in a snowy wilderness and the other in a desert!)

I've worked like that before with a supplier who would send us graphic kits on tape. Everything would be matte then fill and I could digitize them then slap it together. But unfortunately these clients don't do that. Is there a way to make that out of what I have? I mean, it is pure white credits on a pure black background.

That was my fear. The credits I get are on tape, usually at the end of a previously finished program. Thanks for the info, Larry.

I regularly get "credits over black" from a supplier which I then lay over the end of the show. I make a new video track, drop in the credits and throw on a luma key effect. The problem is, with the luma key gives me very little control. I lose the smoothness of the fonts and if the credits show up over a light background, I have no option

A simple question: Can Symphony/Media Composer (3.5.1) export a quicktime reference as one file muxed, rather than a .mov and .wav?
