I can see it there in the Tools menu, near the bottom, 'Timecode Window'. It's floating when it appears but you can add it to a bin container to lock it into your interface if you want.
1. so overall I can transcode at any original frame rate, irrespective of the project’s frame rate?
Yes! Awesome feature that came in a year or 2 ago. So now you can either a.Transcode everything to your delivery format at the beginning (which lots of people like to do to keep things simple during editing

Maybe Avid is testing out the 'Pancake Timeline' that some Premiere editors speak of

Thanks Kevin. Great to know they're onto it.
I'm looking into this and will report back when I find out something.
Hi Kevin, just wondering if you'd had a chance to look at this issue and if you'd been able to reproduce it at your end?

I usually transcode at the source files original frame rate. There are a couple of reasons for this. 1. Slomo (this is what you're doing). If you transcode at the source 50fps then when you edit into the timeline Avid will add a motion adapter effect so that is plays on the 25fps timeline. Very nifty, love it!
One way to do it: Add a resize effect to the clip and leave the controls at default so that the resize has no effect. Step into the resize effect and create your tracked blur in there.
I'm sure this has been talked about before but couldn't find anything... I have a clip with a dissolve at the beginning and want to motion track an effect (e.g. a blur on something or the new colour correction shape) but the motion tracker looks at the looks at the clip on the timeline with the dissolve on it, not the source clip. Any way around

Maybe there are different flavours of Arial but I suspect it is more to do with how the fonts are organised differently between Mac and Windows. There seems to be a font replacement going on (going between Win7 and Win10 changes fonts) and it goes to another font that starts with the 'A'

Small update. Have upgraded the Mac from 10.13.2 to 10.13.6 (the Avid supported version). This has stopped immediate crashes when opening sequences on the PC with Titler+ effects. However the title is still blank. No text appears on the screen and I can't seem to select the text that was created on the opposing suite.
