Thnaks Puzzle, I finalyy used the promote tool and it works great!

When I export the 7D 50fps clip (imported with AMA) in the timeline, it recognize it as a 50 fps (with the green spot on it) but play it NO slomo, and doesn't accept to put a timewarp effect on it; (effect does ot apply);

O course they are artefacts and gain on the 5D/7D, and they are more noticeable when you edit 5D/7D files with Avid, than on FCP (using prores transcode); I TIRED IT MYSELF SEVERAL TIMES, the 5D/7D workflow IS BETTER on FCP. It is also true that if you avoid the DNXHD transcoding, and use AMA, you get better results and less artefacts.but you can't

thanks, but if you do so, you won't get a real smooth slowmo; It will only slow as a normal clip, not recognizing the 50 fps. I managed to get great results using DNXHD by importing the 50 fps files, played in a 25 fps timeline(so it's already naturally slow downed to 50 %) and add a 50 % timewarp effect; so I get a 100 fps effect, really, with

I used to "Ignore QT Rate True" in the console when I imported the 7D files shot in 50 fps; so that they played in slow motion correctly on a 25 fps timeline; but this works when you import and transcode to dnxhd Now with the AMA, I tried, but it doesn't recognize the 50 fps rate, so no more slow motion... any idea? thanks

Sverkalo, it looks like ur the only one who can run 5D files using AMA and playback all that stuf correctly (in order to edit it), you should be more precise ! I tried premier CS5 , It works really great with 5D files;

I'm A PC GUY TOO; I just work also on FCP Maybe the 550/T2i H264 files are easier to decode ? I'l try that, I have some footage; I'll try also on AVID with a 8 core PRO MAC Station, and I'll let you know;
