  • Re: Media composer 7.0.6 crashes on init audio plugins

The Windows 10 update that you rolled back will return. Then you won't be able to launch again until Avid identifies the issue and provides a resolution. I'm in the same boat with clients and projects. Rolling back allows me to work again, but even powering down host last night, when it came back on it was immediately updating before I had windows

I wonder if anyone on v8 is having a problem...

I've spent 3 days working with Microsoft on this. Since last week's patch, this verison of Media Composer is crashing at the Intializing Audio Plugins section. (I'm still on 7.0.4) Rolling back resolves the issue, but - and here's the big part - Windows 10 cannot disable the patching/upgrade process. I have rolled back once a day for

  • Re: Exception error?

Update on a possibility. I had a tape deck connected to Media Composer 7.0.3. I have a project in 1080p/29.97 but just got an amazing shot of a cardinal in a tree from an SD tape source that I just have to add to my project. When I connected the SD tape deck in the current 1080p project, I recieved that error. I created a new project in 30i and was

  • Re: Multicam - mixed media

SOLVED. I had a non-sync'd video track beneath the grouped track. That non-sync'd video track was providing the video that I would see in each of my camera shots. After removing the non-sync'd video track, I could still scrub, but when I tried to play, I received this error: "Exception: ASpringBuffer::Initialize called with incorrect

  • Re: Multicam - mixed media

No matter what changes I make to those settings, I cannot solve the problem. If I scrub the timeline, it works as expected. If I "play" then each camera shows only the bottom most camera in each window. This seems like a bug to me, but I was hoping someone else had this problem and perhaps a setting could make a difference. I did not have

I missed one step in my description. After syncing and loading the group into the source window, I send it to the timeline. It is on the timeline with muticam enabled that I see only one camera shot in all three windows if I play, and all three distinct shots if I scrub. Once I have selected the shots, I can play and see that my selects have taken effect

  • Multicam - mixed media

Hi, Since upgrading to Avid 6, I have had a problem with multicam editing. I typically use 3 cameras in my shoots. A safety cam shooting 1080p, and two Canon XL2s, shooting DV. I am able to pull each set of media into my project, and can sync the video clips into a group. I pull the group into the source window, enable multicam, and I see each clip

  • Re: Still cannot get Media Composer to Work (I bought a new card too)

There's hope! 1. Using Acronis, I restored my system to a point where Windows 7 and Media Composer 5 had just been installed. 2. I uninstalled each Media Composer 5 software selection from Contol Panel' uninstall section, inlcluding Avid DVD, Boris, etc.. 3. I removed project files and other associated files and directories (I'll come back

  • Re: annoying black bar at the top of my screen

It is DV footage. Shot from Canon XL2 in 30p mode. I have been capturing to DV 25 411 MXF. I need to output to 864x486. I can see that the 6 pixels I crop are the difference between x480 and x486. But how can I am make it match? My general settings are DV25 (720x480). Admitedly, I have only just changed them to this. I have not tried to import whith
