If I "play" then each camera shows only the bottom most camera in each window. I missed one step in my description. After syncing and loading the group into the source window, I send it to the timeline. It is on the timeline with muticam enabled that I see only one camera shot in all three windows if I play, and all three distinct shots if I scrub. Once I have selected the shots, I can play and see that my selects have taken effect

Hi, Since upgrading to Avid 6, I have had a problem with multicam editing. I typically use 3 cameras in my shoots. A safety cam shooting 1080p, and two Canon XL2s, shooting DV.
