On my Z800 I went from HDD to SDD and didn't notice much of an improvement. At only $120 it's not a bad way to go. I was surprised. And remember, SSDs dont die slowly, they just die. Make back-ups. ;0

I just retired 2-Z400a and I fried my Z800. I would think you need to get to a Z840 (which is what I'm going now). I can't imagine the Z420 could do well with 4K. You should upgrade to W10 too since W7 is EOL, esp. for security updates. (But is 6.5 compatible?) I just came off 6.5 a year ago. It was great and stable but I needed to support XAVC
