I haven't used it yet, but in Premiem CS3 there are a wide range of templates for all types of phones. These templates let you see exactly how it will display on each device, and there's even ways to test the file for that device, as carriers will thottle back the datarate you can send them. Not sure if your device is in there, but perhaps in

You don't have to install Vista to run 3.0 do you?? Are there any benefits of running this on Vista? Is 3.0 64 bit? Vista is so much slower than XP, esp. trying to find other computers on a network.

editz - It's just such a non-Windows standard interface, and like you said not intuitive at all. Once you get used to it, it's a blast, but I've spent around $3,000 in AVID certified training, read almost every book published, plus I've been editing on CMX/Abekas linear editor for 15 years and then Discreet for 11 years and I everyday

woodlab - MCA is a very complicated program. I've been editing for 26 years and I've had an Avid for 1 year and I still feel like I have a lot to learn about. The "help" file is the worst written help file I've ever seen, so it's almost useless. FCP is easier, but still if you've never edited before, you're in for a

Andrew - Seeing this topic, it caught my eye... It's recommended that before going into Sorensen to make a streaming file format, that one de-interlaces in the editing application as it will provide better deinterlacing than Sorensen. Since MC doesn't give you this option on Export, do you recommend applying the timewarp deinterlace to a QT

Awww soooo, I looked at that, but the "set time code by field" is the default and I never opened up the drop down menu. Thanks so much!!!!

OK thanks, yeah you can change the "in", but it ripples the "out", so you have to manually change your out to the original setting (assuming you didn't want to change the out). But I can't seem to edit the tracks, say you selected A1,A2 and then decided you didn't want the audio. Is there a way to edit the track selections

Hello - This may be a really stupid question, but I can't figure this out... Once you create a log of several clips in MCA, how do you edit the in and out points and re-target the drive it's suppose to load to. In Discreet this is really easy, I can't figure it out in Avid. Thanks in advance.

Panasonic's 24p plays back at 30fps, so treat it like you would treat any other footage like BetaSP or DVCAM.
